Signia’s RealTime Conversation Enhancement (RTCE) was designed to help people with hearing loss to follow group conversations in noisy environments. The new Signia Multi-adaptive Xperience (MaX) platform builds on the demonstrated success of the RTCE by introducing RealTime Conversation EnhancementAI (RTCEAI), which uses artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis provided by the new Acoustic Intelligence for stronger contrast, sharper speaker focus, and greater stability in dynamic group conversations in noise. This study evaluated speech-in-noise performance in listeners with hearing loss using RTCEAI and compared the results with those obtained using the previous RTCE technology and two premium hearing aids from competing manufacturers.
