Empowering people to enjoy the best possible quality of life is at the heart of hearing care. But how can you encourage consumers to wear their hearing aids consistently, enabling you to treat their hearing loss successfully? Built on 140 years of experience in audiology, our award-winning1 Signia Augmented Xperience (AX) platform now offers a range of features that can help your customers increase wear time and stay healthy.
My WellBeing – empower your patients to stay healthy in body and mind
The new My WellBeing features in the Signia app act as a valuable tool in encouraging wearers to use their hearing aids more consistently and keep track of health indicators regarding their physical activity. Initial consumer testing shows that such health features drive increased user engagement with their hearing aids, encouraging them to wear their devices. Hearing well is important because people who leave their hearing loss untreated could be at greater risk of cognitive decline and dementia.2
In addition to helping hearing aid wearers hear better on the move, the hearing aids’ in-built motion sensor allows your clients to see exactly:
- how many steps they take each day – “My Steps”
- how active they are – “My Activity”
- how consistently they use their hearing aids – “My WearTime”
- how well they interact socially with others – “My Conversations”
Because privacy is important to many people, all data is only visible in the app and is not stored anywhere else.
Fitness trackers like My WellBeing offer proven benefits
Your potential clients will also appreciate the following evidence when considering the benefits of the My WellBeing features for them personally:
- Research shows that even moderate physical activity such as walking around your home or garden improves your quality of life.3
- Staying active increases your energy levels and confidence and is good for your cardiovascular health. It can even slow down age-related hearing loss.4
- Using fitness trackers, like those included in this app, is scientifically proven to help maintain and improve physical activity.5
Now you can broaden the appeal of the already successful Signia AX hearing aid platform with a package of health features that engage your patients in managing their hearing and physical activity for all-round wellbeing. Once activated in Connexx, My WellBeing is a great way to increase wear time and help hearing aid wearers Be Brilliant by enjoying the best possible quality of life.
HandsFree for iPhone with CallControl
Another innovation to help boost hearing aid wearers’ enjoyment and ease of use of their devices is our new CallControl function. This lets wearers use their Signia AX hearing aids to control the HandsFree feature for hands-free calls via Bluetooth® with their iPhone or iPad.6
With CallControl, incoming calls can now be accepted (short press), rejected (long press) and ended (long press) with the rocker switch / push button of Pure Charge&Go AX, Pure 312 AX and Insio Charge&Go AX. An innovative tapping function allows wearers of Styletto AX (no switch/button) to accept and end calls simply by double-tapping their hearing aid. For wearers to use this new CallControl function, please make sure it is activated for their hearing aid in Connexx.
HandsFree gives wearers more freedom to combine mobile phone calls with other activities. By using the patented dual processing of Signia AX, background noise is reduced, allowing hearing aid wearers to hear clearly what is being said on the phone. And the hearing aid’s directional microphone lets conversation partners hear the wearer’s voice in high quality.
Customizable navigation and new data logging page in Connexx
It’s not just hearing aid wearers who benefit from our innovative new features. When it comes to fitting and adjusting their devices, you can now set your navigation in the Connexx fitting software to suit your personal preferences.
You can determine the order of the items in the 2nd and 3rd level navigation, for example First Fit, Tinnitus and Fine Tuning, and also hide many of them, including all 3rd level navigation items such as Frequency Compression. This empowers you to customize your navigation so that you can select your frequently used functionalities with ease.
Thanks to the new customizable navigation in Connexx, you can set up the fitting workflow exactly the way you want it, and multiple offices can further standardize their fitting protocol. And the new combined data logging page lets you see what happened since your client’s last appointment in one unified dashboard, combining information from the hearing aid, Signia Assistant, TeleCare and the Signia app with the option of diving into greater detail.
All these exciting new features are available with our state-of-the-art range of Signia AX hearing aids, depending on their performance level.7 For more information about the advantages of Augmented Xperience from Signia, explore our website or call your Signia representative.
