Signia to Highlight Augmented Xperience Platform & Tinnitus Solutions to Enhance Veteran Performance at JDVAC 2022

Emphasizing its commitment to the veteran market at JDVAC 2022, Signia will showcase its cutting-edge technology and educational trainings for VA and DoD audiologists.

Piscataway, NJ – March 31, 2022 – Hearing aid innovator Signia today announced it will showcase its innovative Augmented Xperience (AX) hearing aids and tinnitus solutions designed to improve the quality of life for all veterans and active military through better hearing at the JDVAC 2022 conference.

JDVAC, the Joint Defense Veterans Audiology Conference, is produced annually by the Association of VA Audiologists (AVAA) and the Military Audiology Association (MAA) and is taking place virtually this year from April 4-6, 2022. Signia will be exhibiting at a virtual booth and will spotlight its latest Signia Augmented Xperience hearing aids offered to veterans through the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and to active military through the Department of Defense (DoD).

Since launching Signia AX hearing aids to the VA and government agencies in November 2021, Signia has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiologists nationwide. JDVAC attendees are encouraged to visit Signia’s booth and learn how their patients can benefit from Signia AX.

Specific Signia hearing aids that will be spotlighted at the show include the Signia Insio Charge&Go AX, the world’s first custom hearing aid with contactless charging and streaming to iOS and Android, and Signia Pure Charge&Go T AX, the company’s smallest receiver-in-canal hearing aid to date that comes standard with telecoil. In addition, Signia will preview its latest hearing aid model on the AX platform and three new features.

“Signia strives to deliver innovative solutions, unparalleled support, and service excellence to VA audiologists and the veterans they serve,” said John Murray, Signia’s Vice President of Government Services. “This year, we look forward to connecting with VA and DoD audiologists at JDVAC 2022 to demonstrate how Signia’s AX platform and proprietary tinnitus solutions can optimize veteran and active military performance throughout their lives.”

Signia’s Augmented Xperience platform features revolutionary split processing via the first-of-its-kind Augmented Focus™ technology, which processes speech and background noise separately to create a clear contrast between the two. It then recombines them to deliver outstanding speech clarity even in a fully immersive soundscape – like a crowded cafe or an open office environment.

Studies have shown that Signia AX results in greater than 25 percent better speech understanding in noise compared to users’ own hearing aids. Additionally, 95% of study participants reported excellent speech understanding in their home environment.¹

Both the Insio Charge&Go AX and Pure Charge&Go T AX can be programmed to take advantage of Signia's unique Notch Therapy for treating tinnitus, a common affliction among veterans. They come with the Signia app, which gives veterans intuitive access to a range of important features, including Signia TeleCare for accessing their audiologists remotely; and Signia Assistant, for customizing settings using artificial intelligence.

Attendees will also learn more about Signia Delivers – the company’s ongoing commitment to Government Services audiologists and their patients. Signia Delivers is comprised of three pillars: Innovative Solutions, including a comprehensive portfolio of rechargeable hearing aids; Unparalleled Support, with an expansive team of audiology and customer care professionals who understand audiologist’s needs; and Service Excellence, through enhanced order fulfillment and efficient deliveries.

In addition, JDVAC 2022 attendees can register for one of Signia’s expert-led, CEU-eligible courses covering the latest trends and technology in the audiology industry. Brian Taylor, AuD and Senior Director of Audiology at Signia, will host “Factors Associated with Individual Differences in Hearing Aid Performance in Noise Among Older Adults: Is it Time to Update Your Clinical Protocol?”, while Leanne Powers, AuD and Director of Professional Education at Signia, will host “Signia Delivers,” which details how Signia AX hearing aids can help veterans perform exceptionally. Signia will also offer a 15-minute Booth CEU training.

“As we develop new innovative hearing products and features, we’re committed to enhancing veteran and active military performance in all scenarios, whether it’s at a restaurant with friends, in a bustling gym, or watching television with loved ones,” added Murray. “It’s an honor to work with VA and DoD audiologists to give back to those who have so courageously served our country.”
