For any hearing aid, adapting to dramatic shifts in location poses a tough challenge. The number of sound sources and the signal-to-noise ratio alter entirely and suddenly. Hearing can go from easy to nearly impossible in a matter of seconds as we move from relatively quiet places into a busy street or conference hall, for example.

The reason is that conventional hearing aids can only listen and make educated guesses as to the type of situation the wearer is in. All existing hearing aids choose between hearing what is directly in front of the wearer or hearing their general surroundings. Signia Xperience is the first hearing aid platform ever that doesn’t make that compromise. It can do both at the same time.

This allows the wearer to understand speech from any direction and in any situation – even when they are moving.

Signia Xperience empowers hearing aid wearers to experience the same excellent level of hearing wherever they go.
So they can hear what matters to be fully involved in life.

With its revolutionary YourSound technology, Signia Xperience delivers superior sound processing driven by our unique acoustic-motion sensors. It measures more aspects of sound than ever before – and, for the first time, how the wearer’s movement affects his or her hearing in every situation.

In a world’s first, a motion sensor is built into the hearing aids to provide crucial information about the wearer’s movement through his or her acoustic surroundings. Based on this data, the sound processing can be optimized to deliver sound as nature intended, whether running in the park or sitting in a meeting.

The next generation acoustic sensors deliver sound localization, own voice detection, signal-to-noise ratio, and much more. By collecting more information and characteristics about the hearing aid wearer’s acoustic environment, the soundscape comes to life far more precisely and in much greater detail.

This unique combination of advanced sound processing with an accurate image of how the wearer is moving through his or her acoustic environment ensures that the hearing aids know what is important at every moment so that wearers always hear what matters to them.

More than 90 percent of Xperience wearers report a natural sound experience while moving.*

Signia Xperience wearers show statistically significant improvements in both speech understanding ability and listening effort with speech coming from the side while in motion and stationary, compared to current, premium technology.

Satisfaction with Xperience hearing aids in background noise exceeds 90%, which is substantially higher than corresponding values in recent MarkeTrak/EuroTrak surveys. As a result, wearers are more likely to recommend Xperience hearing aids to a friend than comparable devices.*

Signia Xperience - Hear what matters to you
Introducing Signia Xperience

Signia Xperience technology allows you to hear what matters to you

Discover how Signia Xperience helps wearers to understand their conversation partners while at the same time being fully aware of their surrounding so they can hear important cues from the sides and the back as well. Please use your headphones and click on the examples below to hear the difference:

Without motion sensor

Conventional hearing aids detect a noisy situation with speech and activate directional microphones. Speakers talking at the sides of the hearing aid wearer are hard to understand.

With acoustic-motion sensors

The hearing aids adjust their settings according to movement and relax the directional features so both conversation partners from the sides are understood clearly. Localization of traffic sounds is also possible.

Mastering the perfect personalized sound

YourSound technology uses its in-depth understanding about the wearer’s individual hearing environment and preferences to deliver personalized sound precisely as nature intended.

Dynamic Soundscape Processing delivers natural sound and speech in every situation even when moving.

Own Voice Processing optimizes the wearer’s natural-sounding own voice.

As a result, everything sounds natural and wearers hear what matters to them wherever they are, wherever they go. While dining out with friends, for example, Signia Xperience can make conversation partners and the restaurant’s live background music sound crystal clear and in perfect harmony. And if a waiter approaches from behind and asks if everything is to your satisfaction, the hearing aids also recognize this important speech signal in contrast to general background noise from other restaurant guests.

Hear what matters to you

The acoustic-motion-powered sound processing of Signia Xperience hands hearing aids a new sense to see and better understand their wearer and what matters to him or her in every moment. Now you can offer your clients a clear way to engage fully with life, without compromise.

It’s time to get involved, it’s time for Signia Xperience

FAQs Signia Xperience

By analyzing more input the hearing aid can understand more about the environment you are in and how you are interacting with it to make intelligent choices. Of course the patient can always manual override these choices to suit their needs if desired.
Motion sensor technology has become extremely accurate and we use proven technology to give our sound processing reliable input. However, it is not just motion sensors alone but the addition of more powerful acoustic sensors that add a new sense and make our existing sense more powerful.
In exchange for a small increase in consumption due to the addition of the new motion-acoustic sensors and chip is that they get a smaller hearing instrument with more features and thus more benefit.
By placing the motion sensors directly in the hearing aids we benefit greatly by having the motion data always accessible so it can be tied to the core of the audiological processing.
